On the other hand, looked how much we raved and were excited about Cureton and he turned out cr@p! We thought he'd be a top goalscorer and we couldn't have been proved more wrong. I'm still keeping an open mind :? However, his strike rate was probably still better than most of the team last season (which in itself probably just serves to show up the problem).
I'm not suggesting we need the mythical 20 a season player, but we do need a couple of players who offer a threat. The better teams, the ones without Lineker, tend to have 3/4 players in double figures. I can't see more than 2 making it in our team to more than 6. Peacock didn't suggest he'd get goals from his new position towards the end of the season really, not a htafull anyway. Roberts won't get double figures from out wide unless we have penalties being awarded left right and centre and nobody else even hints at being goalscorer outside the forwards.
