Well I get Sky and I couldn't be arsed to turn on the TV. What happened? Did some one win? Did thousands of people pay 40 or 50 quid to get in? Did they pay a fiver or more for a programme? Did they spend £150-£200 on the day over all? Was it worth it?????? Title: Charity Shield Post by: yeo on Sunday, August 5, 2007, 19:13:23 About as worth it as treking to Exeter to watch Swindon in a friendly I'd say.
Title: Charity Shield Post by: DV on Sunday, August 5, 2007, 19:13:46 Manchester United won on penalties
Yes Yes Yes Yes No Title: Charity Shield Post by: Bogus Dave on Sunday, August 5, 2007, 19:14:20 Not alot
Yep Yes, and then most left before the penalty shootout Probably Naa, they all live in london anyway, so only had to pay for ticket and tube. I sincerely doubt it Title: Charity Shield Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Sunday, August 5, 2007, 19:15:00 Going down to Exeter wouldn't cost as much though.
In fact, nowhere near I would have thought. Title: Charity Shield Post by: Bushey Boy on Sunday, August 5, 2007, 19:16:44 Probably £80, id say petrol would cost about £50
Title: Charity Shield Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Sunday, August 5, 2007, 19:18:31 Quote from: "Bushey Boy" Probably £80, id say petrol would cost about £50 That's a ridiculous amount of money but I'm sure you're right. You would take some young friends though presumably, so they would chip in some petrol money? Title: Charity Shield Post by: yeo on Sunday, August 5, 2007, 19:19:15 Its still pointless, just cheaper pointless.
Premiershipers have the same choices of wasting money and time as us. and id probably have spent £200 on a trip to Exeter easy Title: Charity Shield Post by: Bushey Boy on Sunday, August 5, 2007, 19:20:43 Quote from: "OOH! But yes, friendlies are a total wate of time and money from the fans' prespective. I used to go to loads back in the day (although back then it was only about £2 to get into the likes of Devizes, Fairford, Trowbridge etc) I could not be arsed now though. But it's going to be an ace bit of pointlessness, a good laugh And funnily enough what's the charity/community shield meant to be for? |
