Every club has an embarrassingly high number of retards. Especially the top four in the premiere league!

Walked into work and everyone said it was also a feature on TalkSport this morning.

TS were taking the piss and said that Luggy might as well hand in his resignation now as he clearly cannot choose his own players and need the fans to do it for him.

not the case tho is it .. as he decided he didnt rate the player that got top text rating

Good experiment tho

I did something similar at youth level once .. needed a couple of players to boost the squad up .. had 24 players turn up for trial matches .. those 2 players went on to be my top 2 scorers that season

It was a fucking farce FACT

People were being asked to text by the nuber shirt the player wore.

Only to find that at half time half the players changed shirts to try and even up the sides.

Bit of a joke really and has made Luggy and us a bit of a laughing stock

The whole thing was made worse by the fact that they explained some ex PSG player won the fans text vote only for Sturrock to more or less say he's shite when he was asked if he would sign him.

Bring on Dancing On Ice.

Which just goes to prove my theory that most football fans know fuck all :D

The guy who won the fans vote was gash, ok he scored a good goal, but his all round contribution was rubbish and he fluffed a couple of easy chances so badly that me and my lad were pissing ourselves :D

It was a PR excercise that failed miserably. You can't tell how useful a player is going to be on one game anyway.

Who gives a damn about a few fans being interviewed on T.V. and not being "cool" enough to receive kudos from the rest of the country. It will be forgotton within hours anywho.

We tried something to get a little bit of publicity - it didn't really work, so be it!

What fatbury doesn't tell you is that the team only scored 2 goals all year.

And this was the crux with why I thought it was a bad idea.  It carried no weight and was a cynical way of getting 25p per person.  Much better ways exist of fleecing us of our cash and much better ways of getting PR.
