Its their first "real" match!!!!!! You can't possibly say goal scoring is a problem! 1 at Ciren - 6 at Supermarine - hardly a reason to panic just yet! If anything I'm happier with the clean sheet as its a known fact we are still looking for strikers! Title: STFC v Julia petrojsfkaskldjfwasokd Post by: herthab on Monday, July 23, 2007, 17:45:47 The team we played are in the top league in their country.
Admittedly, it isn't La Liga, or Serie A, but it's probably comparable to the third tier of English football. As Lady said, we all know we're short of strikers, so it's not a surprise we didn't score. Pleasing that the defence looks solid. Title: STFC v Julia petrojsfkaskldjfwasokd Post by: glos_robin on Monday, July 23, 2007, 17:46:38 Notice he didn't even let the likes of Brezovan even get a chance today, seems a bit stupid in a friendly seeing as he should be taking the opportunity to see what Brezovan is like.....and I still see Brezovan as the clubs biggest asset if he gets fully fit and confident
To take a whole squad over there and only play 11 players in the first match is very odd. Title: STFC v Julia petrojsfkaskldjfwasokd Post by: herthab on Monday, July 23, 2007, 17:48:46 There's 3 games over there, another one TOMORROW!!
I think it's likely he'll look at all the squad playing 90 minutes. Expect wholesale changes tomorrow................. Yeah true .. im determined to be more positive from now on ... just hope we can get someone good in .... tho we are leaving it a bit late and if the embargo thing is true or the takeover is hindering things it might make it difficult ... Still looking forward to the start of the season tho Title: STFC v Julia petrojsfkaskldjfwasokd Post by: Northern Red on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, 12:34:48 90 Minutes for the boys is good.
