Had a meeting with my publisher this morning about re-designing/re-branding one of our magazines. I only get involved in this stuff at the later stages to get a design brief. Apparently the market for this magazine (bakery/coffee shop) has moved from 'bake and take' to 'Café culture', and they wanted the revamped magazine to be called Munch. I nearly pissed myself with laughter. The next 30 minutes were spent by trying to explain to her that: A: The first thing it made me think of was carpet muncher B: Munch is also slang amongst the swinging community for a social event where people get to know each other, but no swinging actually happens. ie: it's not a good look love! Just me, tans, herthab and Ben that automatically thought of filth then.
