Title: Brunel FM Post by: ronnie21 on Thursday, July 19, 2007, 17:13:18 OS states that Nigel Turner and Alan MacLaughlin to undertake the commentaries. Any thoughts?

Luckily I am within range, but for those who cannot get it I feel sorry for. Just another way this arrogant bunch of twats treat their supporters! :groan1:Title: Brunel FM Post by: janaage on Thursday, July 19, 2007, 17:23:04 I am amazed that Alan Mac has decided not to continue with his Pompey commitments. The bit where it states he "follows every Swindon match" made me chuckle a bit though, as last time I talk to Alan he was telling me that Pompey was his club and he didn't really have much time for Swindon anymore.
He must have had enough of all the travelling involved I suppose. Fair play to him though, welcome back Alan Mac, hopefully he won't be too upset about dropping down from the top flight to the third tier (again), no right to appeal this time though. Title: Brunel FM Post by: mattboyslim on Thursday, July 19, 2007, 17:38:56 Nigel turner has been around the local media scene for a while IIRC and Alan Mac is a legend, alas with my impending move to the midlands it doesn't really affect me, although my old man in dorset who used to pick it up can't any more.

Nigel actually did Swindon commentary with Jed Pitman on Radio Wiltshire just before Shaun and Stu Mac ... Title: Brunel FM Post by: herthab on Thursday, July 19, 2007, 17:55:34 Alan Mac is a legend!
My favourite all-time player. Title: Brunel FM Post by: Fred Elliot on Thursday, July 19, 2007, 18:04:01 Legend
Remember V Sunderland at Wemberly Ossies Army !!!!!!! Title: Brunel FM Post by: herthab on Thursday, July 19, 2007, 18:07:47 Certainly do!
I thought his goal was brilliant...............................Until I saw the highlights and realised it was a deflection :( His overall play was excellent though, I was gutted when he left........ Title: Brunel FM Post by: janaage on Thursday, July 19, 2007, 18:16:37 I spoke to Alan about his career and THAT goal, I said took a bit of a defelction though eh?
No, he replied, I hit that sweet as a nut. He also said he had never played in such a one sided match as he did that day. The guy is a nice genuine bloke, I've got a lot of time for him. The best thing about him is he rated Fallon as highly as I didn't, "dog shit" was the adjective he used if my memory serves me right. Title: Brunel FM Post by: OOH! Title: Brunel FM Post by: Spencer_White on Saturday, August 4, 2007, 18:41:56 Quote from: "STFC4LIFE" I can't believe Kurt Hammonds on the bench again. It was only last year he was playing against me for Trowbridge Town. Kurt was one of 3 players I picked out from last seasons youth team to make it, the others being Chris Alllan and Lukas. Came on today and didnt look too bad, no worse that Adams or Pook. Ive seen him in a few games and sometimes his run is a bit laboured. He's only 16 and he looks like he gets a bit of back pain, probably from the growing. But I think Kurt Hammond will make it, hes got good composure on the ball and can run a game. Title: Brunel FM Post by: lebowski on Sunday, August 5, 2007, 00:53:18 where does kurt hammond play?
i don't have sources like all you :( Title: Brunel FM Post by: STFC4LIFE on Sunday, August 5, 2007, 07:16:29 Centre Midfield.
Title: Brunel FM Post by: janaage on Monday, August 6, 2007, 08:09:29 Was interested to hear at the weekend that Alan Mac will not be covering all Town games this season, only the games when Pompey aren't playing the same day.
I wonder who the "substitute" summariser will be. Phil K again? |
