Title: Portugese Trialists Post by: Colin Todd on Monday, July 16, 2007, 08:36:01 I see Roberts gives away that we have "2 young portugese Strikers" on trial at the moment (on Thisis cant be arsed to link)
Anyone got any idea who they are or where they are from? Sounds like they'll both get a game tonight, so will be interested to hear if they are any good. It would also add weight to the Advers speculation that the mystery investors are Portugese. From a footballing point of view that has to be a plus that we may get players from a decent footballing nation, rather that some cunts who have just learnt to kick a ball in Uzbeckistan or something. probablly. Title: Portugese Trialists Post by: STFC_Chris on Sunday, July 29, 2007, 15:39:24 Sturrock did a Q&A after the game and more or less said they were all shite. Game was played at a poor tempo and didn't look interested. When they announced that the no. 9 for the home side had won the vote sturrock said "I'll be using my veto then!".
Title: Portugese Trialists Post by: Fred Elliot on Sunday, July 29, 2007, 15:43:31 Apart from the "away" No 10
THEY WERE ALL SHOITE Title: Portugese Trialists Post by: ronnie21 on Sunday, July 29, 2007, 15:48:56 Quote from: "Fred Elliot" Apart from the "away" No 10 not impressed then Fred?THEY WERE ALL SHOITE Title: Portugese Trialists Post by: FlashGordon on Sunday, July 29, 2007, 16:00:11 The thing is, Sturrock was always likely to use his veto against a player the fans liked, as with this case the player chosen was shit, so people who voted will now think what was the point, ive wasted my money?
-by the way i know it was seen to be a bit of fun, just saying that is all Title: Portugese Trialists Post by: Barry Scott on Sunday, July 29, 2007, 16:00:39 I thought number 8 for the home side was good, and number 9 also, but then he did miss some fucking sitters. And then some. He had a lot of energy though and reminded me of Peacock, he just ran all the time.
Like Fred said though, number 10 for the away team was good, but seemed to be in the shitter of the 2 teams, but seemed comfortable on the ball, rounded the keeper for the penalty, and scored the second, which was a nice finish. That keeper was shit though. Think it was number 3 for the away side, he was a cunt and if he ever plays in a swindon shirt will be sure to become a victim of the boo boys. He was a mouthy cunt and just gave everyone shit who didn't give him the ball, he thought he was pretty special i feel. FFS he had a ginger mullet? Go and play for Reading, they feel sorry for the gingers. There wasn't one player I'd like to see in a Town shirt again Title: Portugese Trialists Post by: cavpete on Sunday, July 29, 2007, 20:34:04 Quote from: "Rich Pullen" Quote from: "pumbaa" The bird in the jesters hat looks quite cute. I thought they were both utter gash.
