Title: great goal Post by: lebowski on Friday, July 13, 2007, 09:16:37 this is one of my favourite goals of all time, mostly because of the story involved: rooney was on the half way line arguing with the ref when the ball was pumped forward, and then sees it dropping out of the sky within his space, allowing him the opportunity to unleash an unstoppable volley. to me it seemed to be a release of all his pent up frustration and anger. normally a hit like that would end up out of the ground but in this case it just flew into the back of the net:
