We got lucky with the Lucas deal, but generally the old school pyramid; of the lower leagues supplying players to the top, has been broken for years.
I don't take the popular opinion that it's young foreign imports fucking us over. It's just the fact that the big clubs have proper big academies. Even if their youth players aren't as good at age 11, then they're still going to get better training. And most of them don't make it. The lower divisions are getting filled with left over premiership youngsters of varying quality. It seems that that's the way it works now. Title: David Nugent......Bury.
