Just wondering, if this take over or whatever it is pulls off and we are left with what looks like a promising situation, will you support the board? Will you still be watching the club? I know a few have boycotted home games, but if this all does come off it could really leave us in a situation where we'll be challenging for promotion to the Championship, especially with a manager like Sturrock.

I'm still sceptical and I know we've had false dawns before but I do think it will be excellent for the club.

I'll support a new board, not one that is fully of Diamandis' cronies!  Also I didn't attend one match last year for health reasons, I will not be going this year unless the board changes.

I'd like to think no matter what happened, we'd all be behind the team.

I'll support the team of course. Not the wankers on the Board though. never. I do not believe a word they say and will only believe in this new 'investor' when I see him/her/them/it.

If this comes off, and the current board fuck off, the new incumbents deserve a fair chance.  I just hope it means that Diamandis will no longer have the same influenece at the club, otherwise not much will change.

i will support the team regardless of who is in charge of the club.

i will support any new investors/owners/board if they are entirely seperate to the incumbent board and have no links to them.

i will never support the current board solely because mike diamandis is the scourge of this football club.

The way I read it, its an injection of cash in which case it's the worst possible news.  It will do very little to change the way the club is run. It'll take approx £5,000,000 to get through the season, just continuing the present idiots strategy. We will then be back to square one.

Strikes me as being a bit suspect that they are only just entering into an NDA, which suggests the above senario.
Wonder if they put a clause in the NDA, asking for 1.2 million upfront (No refunds!)

As to who it is, I only hope it's not that internet thingy, with people voting on who plays etc. Time for Maverick to strt asking some searching questions ???

Regarding Holt's comments about "negative press", all I would say to that is that as a board you shouldn't lie & cheat. ... You reap what you sow.

However, if it IS a genuine Takeover, with a new board & no Diadamdis, it's the best (but one) senario.

as i have said i am open minded. if serious investment is there then i will be coming to games next season whether or not Mike D or SSW or whoever is still here. i am here to support my team however i do worry that we could find ourselves in this situation again if some remain

Who's jumping off the anti board ship?  I think people are entitled to fell at least cautiously optimistic about the situation especially as the statement indicates the current board will be replaced if this goes through.  Personally, the reason I'm cautiously optimistic is the thought of the current board fucking off and sturrock being given some cash to play with.

Its better than a winding up petition, and just for once has given me a little glimmer of hope to dream that the future of sTFC might be looking better.

I get the drift of your thread and I can't see many people not supporting the team because of who is in charge at board level.  However, I am anti-board because of the way they have handled things over the last god know how many years.  If you are have a track record of business failure, contempt for customer expectations, contempt for the Inland Revenue/SBC and a reputation for bloody minded arrogance, you aren't going to change just because you've been lucky enough to attract some more dough.  We all deserve better

I supported the team last season, & intend to next. However I will never, ever support the Wills family, Diamandis, Carson, Holt, Gray et al. They have crossed the Rubicon as far as I am concerned.
They DO NOT have the best interest of the club at haert and are only looking to make money from some mega ground deal.

They've crossed the Rubicon on a giant Rubik's Cube as far as I'm concerned. Maybe on some sort of tightrope. But they are still on the tightrope. and the Rubik's cube is a horrible mess. It has 10 blue squares and only 8 reds. You ain't never going to complete that. The whole thing is a disaster.

Just more money to go down the M4- how loong before the investor gets wind of what is happening to their cash, and we see development plans that involve out of town
