Send some examples of what you'd like to play to places, tell them you know how to use all the equipment. Basically blag it. Everyones got to start somewhere. You ain't got a lot to loose apart from writing a few emails.

Then our drinking session was more meaningful than you think. One of my hobbies is getting children drunk.

We should go on a pub crawl again. I quite enjoyed our afternoon out. Or maybe get a poker game on the go. That would be fun.

I spent the evening in the Biplob, then went for a beer in Mackenzies. but they kicked us out at 11 and no where else seemed to be open, my night ended far too early

if you want another pub crawl ben, choose a day, gather some homies and let me know a few days in advance so i can book a half day and finish at 6pm and be in the pub for half past.

i play for chips not money by the way, gets too political otherwise and you can make enemies very quickly.

arrived in norwich from london midday, came home and applied for a load of jobs online. football journalist one of them. got a curry and watched capote with my flatmate (good film), researched some holidays and found a decent deal for 12 nights in morocco with accom (£350). now about to skin up but can't decide whether to compliment it with FM, PES or poker.

always compliment it with some form of alcohol. amateur.

this is true, although 8% is pushing it if you've been out on the beer all day and then go for a curry, but for a curry alone with a couple of beers it's a good choice.

aye, although I think the not for money thing makes it a bit pointless. Why not a fiver or £3. Not saying we should go into a mental betting spree or anything.

whats the point in betting for £3 though? might as well make it for a laugh rather than a couple of quid. but i'll put in a fiver if everyone else wants to £30 pot if we find 6 players.

I just think that I won't be able to play sensibly if I'm not gambling something, I'll have a few beers and get bored and go mental. If you've had bad experiences of playing for money with mates then how about we set the buy in that every one brings an old dvd or book that they don't really mind loosing. or something.

i've no bad experiences, just never played for money as i don't gamble, but i really couldn't give a shit about putting a fiver in to make it interesting between friends, just wouldn't want to have serious money on the table because people start taking it seriously - which is the complete antithesis to my view and enjoyment of the game. fiver is cool - winner takes the pot, if it was £100 each i would have objections.
