Post by: DMR on Thursday, March 24, 2005, 15:13:07 A mate who is an Oldham fan has told me that the latest rumour doing the rounds for them is that Paul Scholes (Oldham born and bred, goes to watch games with his son in an OAFC shirt) has been diagnosed with a medical problem which is going to shorten his career and it seems Man U might terminate his contract so that he can play with them for a season or two (for a nominal wage) and let his lad see him in the shirt.

The rumour changed though, as at first it was that he had cancer, then that he was disallusioned with football. Took a while for it to reach Oldham though :)
