the more I think about it (based on the timeline involved, which effectively rules out a takeover) the more I expect an announcement that investment has been found, but it is in fact a loan from someone already involved, such as St Modwen.  Possibly a rejigging of the web of businesses surrounding the club.

If that is what happens then they will be well wide of the mark if they think it will make people happy.  Relieved over our immediate future maybe, but not happy about the future of our club.  Only one thing will now resolve that, and it involves a lot of people falling on swords.

But...but...but...it's Statement Friday.

I agree with Jan. The most important thing in all this is that the club still exists one way or another whoever is in charge. We know that the club is run badly, but to see it wind up would be disastrous(sp?).

Monies owed £900k for CVA

Money can not be paid by current board thus meaning we could be wound up.
They are the ones who have caused this and only themselves can they blame. How long are we going to have to go on with them in charge not knowing where our club is heading or if bills are going to be paid.

I had a wager with Dell boy, its pointless though he keeps changing dates so its almost impossible to win.........Monday would become the monday after, then the first monday of the new season, then the first monday of 2008.

I don't think they all fell out with St Modwen.  Isn't there a large development going on at Hungerford, joint development by Shaw Park Developments (three directors of STFC) and St Modwen?

Whats a "positive statement" Dell. It will only be positive in my book if it is an announcement that they are risigning en-masse.
As for Magics statement, I know here he is coming from, but feel slightly differently, in that if this lot stay our club WILL go under. It's only a matter of time. I for one would hate that, who ever is in charge.......... That's why I am so convinced that this lot must GO......... NOW. (Even a drop into the conference would be worth it to see them go,... at least we'd have a club left to support) (but extinction no.)

"Lovers tiff" is the phrase they used at the time but the Marina development in Hungerford on SSW's land suggests they're on better terms these days.

Heathnorth Ltd I think is the vehicle used for that one, same people though.  They are also in debt to St Modwen to the tune of £2.2m as at 2006.
