Masters degree was much easier then the undergrad degree.

This is mainly because there is a higher percentage of foreign students to English students in masters degree as apposed to in the bachelors degree.

With English being many foreign students second/third langauage, foreign students tend to struggle writing good essays or making good presentations.  As a result, the quality of work produced at masters level is generally inferior to that of bachelors level, and hence the grading system which determines a pass mark is altered accordingly

I miraculously pulled out a 2:1 after I was on a 3rd after my 2nd year, which counts towards 40%.

Got an award for my dissertation on "Advanced Oxidation" though.  8)

Now to the real world...

I get mine 9th of June, just had my job confirmed to go permanent though for Magnox North and its not even subject to my degree mark. So at least I don't need to worry about the work side of things and what ever I get for my degree is just a bonus.

That's what I should've done in hindsight. I did think that I'd take a year away from Civil Engineering and do some manual labour job to get rid of some of the tonnes I put on at Uni, but now I'm just dossing about and bored all day. Old habits and all that.
