Cant blame pearce, We were getting battered at the time anyway,  he was just trying to sure up the defence, seeing as the ball was in our third rather than the final third the majority of the time in the 2nd half bringing on a defender to try and sure it up was not a bad move. Jst unlucky not to hold on.

Its the sort of thing sven got slaughtered for, so why should pearce be any different

disagree,sometimes it is essential to sit back on a 1-0 lead.say the game is in the latter stages,you are 1-0 up and the opposition are throwing everything at you in an attempt to score.you have to sit back and get bodies behind the ball,as gambling on an attack could leave you exposed at the back.every game is different though,and didn't see last nights game so cannot comment on that
