Title: Let's Back Sturrock 110% Post by: Crozzer on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, 16:07:55 With all the churning going on in the club, and all the speculation, I think it is time for the fans to agree upon one thing. Whoever is running the club after the end of June, there is one absolute, the only acceptable course is that Paul Sturrock is, and remains the manger of Swindon Town, until Paul Sturrock decides otherwise.
I think the fans should make it absolutely clear that they are 110% behind Paul Sturrock and whatever happens to the club, any football management changes are totally unacceptable. If we start the season on minus ten points I think he could be tempted to leave. Title: Let's Back Sturrock 110% Post by: Crozzer on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, 16:14:14 With the history of Swindon Town (Macari was sacked) who knows. I think that the fans should exercise their voice and make one thing clear. If Luggy is minus 10 points, he will just figure out how to get the final play-off position, the guy has spine.

That certainly has not changed in my book Title: Let's Back Sturrock 110% Post by: reeves4england on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, 16:27:29 I'm happy to back Sturrock. He did a good job last season when it looked like we might struggle towards the end of the year. He was allowed to bring in fresh players and turned things around from the Lincoln game onwards.

Personally I don't think Sturrock will be hanging about for too long, in the same way I suggested that Wise wouldn't hang about for too long. For a successful individual, I'd imagine its more or less impossible to work with the clowns at our club....the likes of :king: or Iffy, are happy to try because its a job. I can't see Sturrock leaving to be honest unless of course we become a non-league club overnight. Title: Let's Back Sturrock 110% Post by: Crozzer on Thursday, June 21, 2007, 01:16:20 Swindon Supermarine are great for everyone's sanity, if the Town get destroyed, there's a huge fan base for a non-league club. However, we would be a couple of divisions or so below Oxford.
It was pointed out in another thread that if the courts had to consider friendly/unfriendly takeovers in the event of "a cock-up on the CVA front".
