Title: All inclusive holidays
Post by: tans on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, 14:12:19
Me and the mrs are looking to go away for a week at the end of august. We are hoping for an all inclusive deal for around 400. Maybe portugal, anybody got any decent ideas where to go?

Cheers

Yeah book all-inclusives last minute to get the best deal, as they are packages that tour operators by in bulk and then do their best to flog.

someone like lastminute are usually OK (although you usually find the 50 quid you think you saved dissapears as 'booking fee' and 'airport transfer').

I would warn, if you are thinking about doing it yourself, watch out for these bastards...

http://www.habitatapartments.com/sol.htm

booked one of their flats, 90 quid for 4 days, bargain.    Photos look quite nice don't they ?  Note how none of the photos, including the one of the exterior, seem to show any windows - because as it turns out, there aren't any .  Now I suppose you can't really complain of misrepresentation, but honestly if I wanted to stay in a dungeon I'm used to specifically requesting that !

Indeed Dodgers, meant to be the next 'big thing' as a tourist destination amongst well to do Europenas- a friends parents nearly moved out there and got themselves a business.  Beautiful scenary somewhere off the Atlantic cosast of Africa, I think they are developing rapidly but still have a little primative beauty left.

I've been all-inclusive to Cuba, Jamaica and Brazil and can thoroughly recommend it, not sure about all-inclusive within Europe though.  Brazil was awesome and no more expensive than an average two-week holiday in Europe, in fact we booked a villa in Minorca in 2005 and by the time we had paid for that (two couples sharing), car hire, flights and food etc. Brazil worked out cheaper!

Tans, it looks as good as anything I could find there.  Could find the same/similar standard for £539 each but there may have been add-ons to go on top.  Only thing I would say would be that you could have gone for a fortnight for an extra £250 or so! Who are you flying with?
