Be nice to wrap up a 3-0 but the forecast looks shocking, important toss to win I suspect - sounds like the ball is gonna swing a bit.

Nice to see the schoefield report is already making major changes to english cricket. It hasn't re-structured the grass-roots policy of the game, or hasn't as yet addressed the issue of the number of foreign players in county cricket.

BUT, it has re-named the england "a" team the "England Lions".

We're  gonna be world beaters now  :-))(

Great start, Glad we got Gayle out, he was scoring at a quick rate. Chanderpaul is the only man that can save them. Get him out and the rest will soon fall.

287 all out. Chanderpaul seems to be holding the Windies together at the moment. without him they would be getting 150. 23-0 in reply. let's hope Strauss does something decent for once

Good to see Strauss doing well, he's had a rough patch recently but is a decent batsman.

he has not been dismissed for around 13 hours. So yes he will probably save the match for them.

Someone's got to stay with him though. By the looks of the shots Gayle was playing last night, he won't be around long this morning, so i think alot will depend on how long Dwaaaaaaaayyyyyyyne stays at the crease

Gayle has gone. Cant see us getting Shiv out, so our only chance is to get the others out and hope its a very small total to chase.

Title: Fourth Test
Post by: mattboyslim on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, 11:15:29
The weather is a huge issue, if we can get them out by not long after tea with the extra time due I can see them going for it - even in darkness.  Another wicket before lunch would put us in with a good chance, thus far their tail has looked very average.

Gotta feel sorry for Chanderpaul. The other 10 have really let him down.

Should be game over and good night now.

Good to see, espcailly after the weather stopped so much of the play. Now we can look forward to seeing this side against a stronger team in the summer with a bit of confidence, be it reasonable or misplaced!!!

Vaughan looked in good nick this afternoon. 48 off 51 I think.

Monty got man of the match and man of the series. 23 wickets in the 4 tests. A lot of people saying he's the best left arm spinner in the world.

i think Daniel Vettori (bennett) will have something to say about that.

considering there's probably only half a dozen left arm spinners playing test cricket and half of them probably play for bangladesh, that isn't something quite that spectacular

id be surprised if we lost. India's bowlers cannot bowl in English conditions. they always struggle when they tour here. the only thing that will count in their favour are pitches that will turn and are good for batting. but seaming conditions are no use for them
