I guess we can pick up from Didcot/Abingdon on the way again.

first away game i ever went to was northampton

I went there years ago,i remember it being on the outskirts of town,don't recall there being a lot of pubs around anyway.The game kicked off and about 15 minutes later a load of Swindon fans appeared on the crest of the hill above the ground singing,it was great,dead dramatic 8)

I think me, tartan army and spuddy were in that group, we were put in the side stand as the stand behind the goal was full.

It was a great away game. We went up on the train, drank in the town centre then the away pub was TGI Fridays.

Quite possibly the shittest away match ive ever been to was that Northampton game, due to the away pub being a TGI Fridays, the weather which was freezing and the fact that we were shite and lost.

It's in a sort of industrial retail park place iirc.

It's on a retail/entertainment complex.

It's one of the first things you see when you approach Northampton.

I watched Blackpool at Northampton (because of my Dad). Although it is small it is a tidy little ground. Shame we couldn't have had somewhere with a better allocation.

I won't be going. I've only got a couple of days holiday to use off work and I'm not confident I would get a ticket so it's not worth the risk! Will go to Luton at home instead or something!

However, we're still seven odd weeks away from this. I ummmm want to see what happens in the next couple of weeks before I take your money and book the minibuses.

Just in case like.

When it's a deffo green light I will post up my address for cheques and  PM my PayPal details on request.

I think we might end up with three minibuses (perhaps two 17 seaters and an 11 seater), so I will probably take both Herthab and Chelle up on their kind offers to drive.

Shouldn't we all make sure we've got match tickets first before any minibuses get booked?

I wuold think so, I have a worrying feeling I won't get one.

I spoke to the box office this morning, the Manager is away until Monday so they won't know when they'll have tickets but they said as its a small ground, season ticket holders will get priority and any that are left will go on general sale after.

Defo an idea not to book any mini buses yet!

The Northampton match is on my brother's birthday. Which isn't normally a problem (we would go and visit him on the Sunday instead).

However, this year is his 50th - that hadn't occurred to me. He rang last night and he has organised a big extended family bash.

So I won't be going and therefore won't be organising any minibuses.  :(

I spoke to the ticket office yesterday and they said tickets would be arriving at the end of next week.

Got my shitty friendly and Charlton tickets, phoned up yesterday and they arrived in the post today :shock:
