Got home from work today to find 2 letters from finance companies regarding a loan application that my fucking slag of an ex has done using my name as the main applicant.

basically these have now gone against my credit score all for a poxy £1000.

is there anyway i can stop her doing this without killing her or chopping out her eyes or cutting of her arms?

i've got the company she used and the date it was done. the letter is addressed to myself and her with regard to Consolidation Loan.

Do nothing I suggest, in fact, take a loan out yourself and pay it straight into her bank like a jolly nice chap.

Is she officially your ex-wife?  In other words legally separated or divorced?  That could make a difference, take some legal advice and quickly.

well my decre nisi came through today so i think yes we are officially divorced just got to wait for the Decre Absolute to come through

Also make sure the paperwork states whether it was a loan or shares as these things have a habit of coming back and biting you on the bum.

My gf's ex did exactly the same thing to a woman he was dating although he took out credit cards in her name, he's currently being done for fraud.

magicroundabout, it might be worth checking your credit record with experian (costs £1 i think but is money well spent in this case) to see if there's any other applications for credit on there.

well she is entitled to 50% of the equity but her nan paid for our deposit etc as a gift but last weekend apparently i now owe her £4k towards what her nan paid.
