Title: Today Post by: red macca on Monday, June 11, 2007, 09:42:32 I assume the legal actions will start today. So no more chat bullshit and wondering where we stand.
Am i right in assuming the fans cant really do much about this either now. Oh and if power does not wear a orange tie to court i will stop supporting his takeover :D Title: Today Post by: Frigby Daser on Monday, June 11, 2007, 09:50:39 I'm bored by it all now - just want it sorted. It may seem we can expect an all action duel now, but this will drag on for months upon months now
Title: Today Post by: red macca on Monday, June 11, 2007, 09:54:14 Thats what i thought moonraker but with a cva payment due in a fortnight can this afford to drag on for months and months
Title: Today Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, June 11, 2007, 10:00:07 The Adver seems to think it's all set to go off today:

I just hope it doesn't all end up with the fans being left without a club.
There is no way all of this will be dealt with before the season is started, and I can just see it being one big distraction. Don't get me wrong, if it all ends with Power and the trust in, the current board long gon, then I'm pleased. Title: Today Post by: Sippo on Monday, June 11, 2007, 11:41:03 The court case will go on for months and months....
Title: Today Post by: STFC4LIFE on Monday, June 11, 2007, 11:44:18 It must all be frustrating Sturrock aswell, when he's trying to get players in.
I realy hope it comes to an end son, with Power in charge. Title: Today Post by: ronnie21 on Monday, June 11, 2007, 12:38:30 Quote from: "Sippo" The court case will go on for months and months.... It shouldn't go on for long in my opinion. One side or the other has to show the proof in court and a ruling be made, seem simple enough to me.Title: Today Post by: sonic youth on Monday, June 11, 2007, 12:48:36 it would seem that it's a fairly straightforward case, certainly having read what si pie has said on the issue - if the club can prove they have either a share certificate or an application for shares then the club win. if they can't, power wins.
don't see the club going under unless diamandis insists on taking it down with him which seems unlikely given what ssw stands to lose. i don't see how it will effect sturrock or the players, the budget is in place and he'll sign the players he can afford. Title: Today Post by: STFC Bart on Monday, June 11, 2007, 12:52:32 Do not put it past Diamandis- even if SSW stands to lose. Remember he only has his interests at heart and he will be losing his business their biggest income stream
Title: Today Post by: Power to people on Monday, June 11, 2007, 13:03:18 I can't see SSW letting it get to that stage, although he rely's on Diamandis surely he is not that stupid to see he would lose everything if he didn't do a deal...
Or diamandis may out of spite let it get to court and do an out of court settlement minutes before the judgement is due so he can keep his gresy little hands on the club a little longer before he is forced to let go. At the end of the day I trust the consortium I don't trust the stfc board... Title: Today Post by: Tails on Monday, June 11, 2007, 13:06:45 Isn't Diamandis a Reading fan aswell? or am I way off the mark?

Believe me, it's not a quick process, and if it does go to court, it means there's a fairly complicated issue to be decided Title: Today Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, June 11, 2007, 13:44:22 Read this thread and you'll see any court case will probably go on for a while:

But in the long run getting these idiots out of the board room far outweighs the short term impact, IMO. Title: Today Post by: ReadytoGo on Monday, June 11, 2007, 14:26:05 Just trying to keep up to speed.
Has Mark Devlin commented on the loan or shares debate recently? Title: Today Post by: Batch on Monday, June 11, 2007, 14:40:43 Not that I know of. But I doubt it would be wise for Mark to make any comment pending legal action outside of what Power.the board have already said.
Title: Today Post by: Samdy Gray on Monday, June 11, 2007, 14:42:08 Quote from: "Batch" No. But I doubt it would be wise for Mark to make any comment pending legal action. I'd imagine Mark could be quite a key witness. Obvisouly working for the club at the time he should know whether it was shares or a loan, but also knowing Bill personally will give a bit more insight. Title: Today Post by: red macca on Monday, June 11, 2007, 14:44:04 Bill power has publicly said it was a loan im sure mark d will say the same thing tbh
Title: Today Post by: Power to people on Monday, June 11, 2007, 15:47:50 tbh if that is what Power says then I would beleive him over this board anyday, he is not going to come out with something like that if it is not true as they could easily make him out to be a liar - which he isn't.
