Title: 90s "Anthems"
Post by: Luci on Sunday, June 10, 2007, 09:49:08
Right, to keep myself occupied I've decide to make some new CDs for the sake of it but I'm going for some 90's drivel!

So far Ive got artists such as;

Lightning Seeds
Cast
Blur
Pulp
Dodgy
Texas
Ace of Base
The Cure
Marbleheads
Supergrass

And a few more I can't remember.  If anyone has any ideas of anymore artists/tracks then can you post them here, cheers

Met the lead singer at a Radio 1 gig with Boo Radleys on the list as well (sort of new talent tour of uni's).  I forget the 4th band but the others were Heavy Stereo who did jack but had a really good set and I seem to remember a track called Chinese Burn.

Any 90's CD should have James.

Probably include stuff from these for me

Blur
Ocean Colur Scene
Oasis
Manic's
Faithless
Portishead
Crowded House
Inxs
Garbage
REM
Bluetones
Dodgy
Shed Seven
Happy Monday's
Smashing Pumpkins
Suede
The Charlatans
Beautifull South

Hurricane #1 - Only the Strongest Will Survive

Got that on CD single from a charity shop in old town for 99p the other day - fully signed by the band, great song.
I remember the original signing in Hmv. It may go unnoticed that a certain bassist from Oasis was formerly of Hurricane #1. The single should include his signature. Andy Bell.

It was that or Vic and Bob with "Dizzy"

There is another one I'd put on -

Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue with "Where the wild roses grow" there's a cracking b-side called "the ballard of Robert Moore and Betty Coltrane" from the album Murder Ballards on it too so worth a listen.
