not particularly likely to happen, so i'll have to learn.

i've got a cookbook but i don't even know how to cook meat. my repertoire extends to pasta and sauces, sadly. i find myself watching loads of cooking progs - the f word, masterchef - but i'm just clueless :(

woe is me

Best way is just to try stuff. You might have a few disasters but you'll probably learn from stuff. Buy yourself some steaks or something.

Fajitas don't have sauce.

It's chicken fried in seasoning with peppers and onion.

Serve wrapped in a tortilla with salsa and soured cream.

Yum.

I think Ben's got the best idea...you won't find death burgers in any cook book.

Sonic why don't you try a few meat pasta dishes or something like a curry. There's not really a lot you can do wrong here and is a good chance to experiment with flavours. Then you can start doing other dishes when you're a bit more confident.

I still need to learn how to cook fish

Birdy was implying that you cook Fajitas in sauce.

The salsa is merely an optional accompaniment.

I think if you read her comment again she suggested that you masterbate into your cooking.

I can't cook either. Pasta and sauce and frozen pizza are my staple diet.

I have a canteen at work so I do most of my eating there and then rustle up some beans on toast or something similar.

I could probably rustle up a stir fry if I could be arsed buying the ingredients and cooking it!

Salt and Vinegar McCoys as a side dish.

I might pop to Tescos for a Vienetta (the mint choc chip one) for dessert.

I used to make a really crap toad in the whole which was really stodgy in the middle. I used to serve it with mash potato (more stodge) and onion gravy. It became a household favourite for the day after massive drinking sessions. Happy days.

Cook it all seperately.  Onions first, then mushrooms then mince.  Takes longer but will taste nice.  Each part you cook pop it in another saucepan with a plate over it.  When cooking pasta put some salt in it boiler kettle and wash off pasta with boiling water

God this is getting sad
