He's almost 33 and injury prone (which we knew when he signed for us) - yes he was influential in his starts for us but I'd much rather have a good player who can play 46 games than someone who will only play 15. I know it's very different for Evans cos of his age, but if Sturrock thinks Easton for example would be a better long term prospect than Evans then you just have to back his judgement. I didn't see much of Evans and don't doubt his ability but it's no use for 10-20 matches a season.
