Plus, they won't exactly have clubs queuing up to play them like Man U, Arsenal etc will. And their pre-season schedule may well not have been planned as far in advance on the basis that they did not know what division they were going to be playing in until t'other day. Personally I prefered a decent break, which would allow a chap to play cricket as well as football....the last of that breed I suppose was Phil Neale who turned out for Worcs and Lincoln City. A good sportsman like Jim Standen, could win a cup final medal with West Ham and then be a major wicket taker for Worcs and win the County Championship in the same season.
