Title: 3 Questions
Post by: horlock07 on Thursday, May 31, 2007, 12:45:27
Reading the official site earlier, made me think of three things:

1. Has anyone looked into the ownership of Brunel FM, am I just being cynical that a major shareholder of this media giant could be our own much loved media friendsw Dunwoody or PIA?

2. I noticed that Roberts was signing his contract, just made me interested in what such a document actually says, has anyone ever seen one.

3. Why is the biggest story on the official website the re-seeding of the pitch, it seems to be the thing they get most excited about every year.

That is all!

Re 1 .....I enquired about the ownership of Brunel, its part of a larger media group,  it has shareholders, who could be possibly Board members, in the same way it could be you, but there isn't seemingly a conflict of interests.

Yes but apparently being Managed by one of your major creditors whilst in administration does not constitute a 'conflict of interest', they have some interesting definiotions down at STFC those crazy fools!

Brunel is owned by 'the local radio company' a large co. with pletny of small stations - all with the similar blue and yellow logo.  They are considerably smaller than GCap (GWR, Xfm, Classic fm, BRMB, Capital etc) and Emap (Century fm etc), I sincerely doubt Dunwoody et al have anything to do with them - as a whole they are a reasonably sucessful firm.

A reasonably successful firm, Dunwoody would have absolutely jack-shit to do with it then, everything they touch seems to fall to pieces whilst certain people get richer!

I'm imagining an impotent Bob Holt broadcasting audio reading of erotic literature 24 hours a day. Although not read by him, he's just the sort of DJ. Otherwise it would be nobody comes first.
