Pretty sure their fans loved him. Title: craig easton Post by: Rich Pullen on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 16:09:09 It makes you wonder how he ended up at Orient... He's a good player.
Good signing if the Bishop Stortford Citizen isn't as bad as the speculation on thisis. Title: craig easton Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 16:18:16 I have posted on the Dundee United forum and this is the first response I got.
Hard worker, will give 110%. I think Luggy will get the best out of him. From what I understand, The O's fans rate him very highly and expected him to leave, possibly for a better standard. Overall, I think you have a good signing on your hands if it happens Title: craig easton Post by: sonic youth on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 16:29:59 sounds decent enough. what sort of central midfielder is he?
Title: craig easton Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 16:37:01 Sounds like a better Pook to me! Another comment from the Dundee United forum.
He broke into the utd team in his teens and captained Scotland at under 21 level. He was a very good prospect but utd were a poor team when he broke through and I always felt that too much responsibility was put on him at too young an age. I feel that hindered his development but he was still a good player and a fans favourite. For a central midfielder he probably didn't score enough goals for us but his work rate is second to none. He'll bust the gut for 90 mins and do a lot of the unglamorous work that goes unrecognised. I remember serving him in Tesco's a few times when he played for us and he was always buying those Isostar power tablets. Maybe that's where he gets it from! Although Evans did look like he would have grabbed quite a few goals had he stayed fit I really do hope evans stays :)I don't think Evans will remain here, my main worry was comments from the medical team (Dick) towards end of season when they said he doesn't seem mentally right. Reminds me a bit of O'Halloran who was a steady player before long term injury but was never quite right when he came back and ended up being released. As some players then become more hesitant in tackles and over doing it due to fear of another serious injury, really hope its not the case here but fear it may be. Easton is a class player so would be well pleased if he joined :D Title: craig easton Post by: janaage on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 18:56:01 I wonder if Pook has been unsuccesful in trying to squeeze a bit more money then.

Its the close season and 1 or v2 are still on Pook's case. Perhaps you would like 4 zabooubs in midfield instead? Title: craig easton Post by: janaage on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 19:08:26 Hope you're not including me in that Dirk.
I haven't slated Mr Pook for months, thought he did alright second half of the season. Title: craig easton Post by: Give us an S on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 19:24:16 Ive never really slated Pook but he isnt good enough for league one. Weston, now Easton. We're working our way through the compass 8) Title: craig easton Post by: Tails on Thursday, May 31, 2007, 07:47:43 Quote I said on another thread (Can't remember which) that he is the one player out of all of them I would have wanted to keep. Intelligent passer and a great engine on him. I think if you look at the stats last season there are not many games we won without him in the team. The same goes for the promotion season as well. Got yourselves a cracking player there Whats the point of having an engine room in midfield if we're just gonna be whacking the ball out to the wings constantly? Title: craig easton Post by: stfctownenda on Thursday, May 31, 2007, 08:08:37 Quote from: "Dirk Diggler" Jeez Its the close season and 1 or v2 are still on Pook's case. Perhaps you would like 4 zabooubs in midfield instead? Pook was ordinary in League 2, average at best. In League 1 in the past as we have seen he is out of his depth. We don't need passengers next year we need a squad with healthy competition. I would take Zaboub over Pook any day of the week because when Zaboub performs he can change a game, when Pook performs he barely influences the midfield. I'd take one less in numbers if it meant greater quality - these days there are so many freebies kicking about a manager like Sturrock should be able to pick up a couple of gems.

Orient got 51 points from 46 games Easton played in 30 games, in which 43 points were won If we get him in, can't see Adams coming too - sounds a defensive midfielder. Title: craig easton Post by: Bob's Orange on Thursday, May 31, 2007, 12:07:11 Comments on Aljofree from Arab fans.
under 21 intenationalist I think. got a rocket shot and is a genral hardman type. I was sad to see him go as he was quite handy although gave away many free kicks in dangerous areas. Decent going forward not so good defensively, scores overhead kicks versus Highland League opponents. Would do a job for you Aye, definitely best remembered for those two long range belters against Forres Mechanics in the cup. Don't really understand Luggy's fascination with him though. It's a bit like gingerbaws at Celtic with Paul Telfer. He was pretty good at crossing from deep and always tried to support his winger but as others have said he was a bit reckless at defending. He could maybe do a decent job as a left midfielder though. He scored the first goal for Orient in THAT game at Oxford on the final day of 2005/6 season.
