Had the following mailed to me today. Being chronically unfit and, more importantly, shit, I can't really help out but thought some of you "I coulda been a contender" types might fancy a punt :D Quote Swindon Town have had an internet supporters football team since 1997, and this year we have entered the prestigious event of Worldnet 2007, in Leeds - a competition for like minded individuals, who support their team. At this event there will be 72 supporters’ teams competing in 3 different competitions over the weekend. This is a weekend event and is happennening on the 13/4/5 July. A maximum squad of 22 is allowed in this tournament. The game is played over 2 15 minute halves and we should play a minimum of 5/6 games over the two days (not including friendlies)! This is a call for players of all standards to stand up and be counted for Swindon Town. If you are free to play, the cost for registration and accommodation for 2 nights B&B is £80. I will be ensuring that everyone has an equal amount of time on the pitch, and everyone has fun! The social side is great, especially the Friday night! Our only match highlight was the penalty loss to Spurs in the knockout stages (Chapter 7, right at the end). Chapters 13&14 are proving troublesome and are truncated.
