Title: Season Ticket sales up 30% Post by: Fred Elliot on Friday, May 25, 2007, 15:34:22 Not going to get one full stop until the change happens. I will pay on the day.
I have no emotional ties to my seat anyway. Its in the Town End and me and Macca will stand where we always do anyway  Title: Season Ticket sales up 30% Post by: glos_robin on Friday, May 25, 2007, 15:37:56 Quote from: "Fred Elliot" Not going to get one full stop until the change happens. Its in the Town End and me and Macca will stand where we always do anyway  Fair enough, I've had the same seat in the Nationwide since it opened so is abit different I guess. At some point I'll have to make a decision I suppose, would definately shaft them and pay by credit card if I do renew over the summer. Title: Season Ticket sales up 30% Post by: pauld on Friday, May 25, 2007, 15:38:06 Erm, according to this piece in the Adver last year, we'd sold 2500 in June last year, so how is less than 1500 up 30%?

Title: Season Ticket sales up 30% Post by: Fred Elliot on Friday, May 25, 2007, 15:42:21 Im not going to lambast anyone that buys a ST at early bird prices, at the end of the day a lot of it is down to personal economics.
Especially for those that do not have a CC or do have a CC but cannot afford to pay the complete fee when the statement comes in. I can see it is a very difficult decision for a lot of people Title: Season Ticket sales up 30% Post by: Summerof69 on Friday, May 25, 2007, 15:43:16 Quote from: "pauld" Erm, according to this piece in the Adver last year, we'd sold 2500 in June last year, so how is less than 1500 up 30%? http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/search/display.var.814747.0.devlins_delight_at_season_ticket_sales.php It's 'apparently' 30% up on this time last year, but they bring out the same 'season tickets are up on this time the previous year' and we end up having roughly the same number of season ticket holders. The Dennis and Gus effect was big.
Title: Season Ticket sales up 30% Post by: pauld on Friday, May 25, 2007, 16:05:10 Quote from: "Fred Elliot" Im not going to lambast anyone that buys a ST at early bird prices, at the end of the day a lot of it is down to personal economics. It's not just cash Fred - May 31st is also the deadline for keeping your seat which I know quite a few people who will renew by then because of that. FWIW, the Trust "line" on this is as decided at the AGM is contained in the "cautious welcome to new investors" PR Quote Given the parlous state of the clubs finances, many fans are understandably concerned about handing over their season ticket money to the club while the future ownership and indeed survival of the club remains uncertain. We would urge all fans to continue to buy their season tickets, Paul Sturrock and his team deserve that backing after their efforts of last season, but we would advise fans to purchase their tickets on credit cards wherever possible, as this means the money is only made available to the club on a month by month basis during the season, and also entitles you to a refund should the worst happen. The whole thread has been a revelation, Paul Davies needs a hearing aid (perhaps that has something to do with his reciprocated Xmas wishes with Diamond Mike) and now, fuck me, baby Jesus and Nazism go hand in hand!
Title: Season Ticket sales up 30% Post by: glos_robin on Friday, May 25, 2007, 18:05:49 I've heard rumours that the board are now including all pigeons, insects and worms in the mud.........I mean our pitch as season ticket holders.
If these new customers don't subsequently pay full price they will be evicted prior to the first match of the season.......they are however included in the present sales figures though. Title: Season Ticket sales up 30% Post by: Phil_S on Saturday, May 26, 2007, 01:48:04 Perhaps they've issued the stewards with ST's too.
Seriously, though what they have forgotten to tell us is that they also include the season ticket sales for Brissle Rovers. FWIW, I'm with Fred. NO ST(d) for me, but no disrespect to those who have. Title: Season Ticket sales up 30% Post by: Phil_S on Saturday, May 26, 2007, 03:04:19 So, this year they have sold 1,500 tickets. (25th may)
They also state that they had sold 1,000 this time last year. Last year they had sold 1,800 tickets at the end of may. So to be 30% up on THIS figure they will need to sell 2,340 which is another 840 in the next 6 days. Yet they say they expect to have sold 2,000 by the start of the season ! Last year in the bit that Paul highlighted they had sold 2,500 at the end of June. My conclusion. It's spin.
