Title: Second test Post by: larwood on Friday, May 25, 2007, 13:06:59 Ahem, stared today at 11.00am,i'll assume the reason no one has started a thread off is because everyone is in shock at the inclusion of Sidebottom in the team.
Going alright at the moment,England batting first 115-2,with K.P and Virgil at the wicket. Title: Second test Post by: mattboyslim on Friday, May 25, 2007, 13:20:39 I suppose it's du to the largely underwhelming nature of cricket thus far. Still a bit too mcuh like the football season for many. Glad to see Vaughan back in team, and a solid ish start, it'll be interesting to see the bowling attack, albeit with Sidebottom in, as in the first test it was always going to be a battle missing on bowler form near enough the start. Just hope that they force a result in this one, although the weather suggests that it'll be a draw - mores the shame.
Title: Second test Post by: Give us an S on Friday, May 25, 2007, 13:51:06 Yep, with the forecast this has draw all over it! Good to see Vaughan getting some runs though!
Title: Second test Post by: Give us an S on Friday, May 25, 2007, 15:26:07 Vaughan gets his century. Bit of a lucky shot to get it, but well done! The skipper is BACK!
Title: Second test Post by: Give us an S on Friday, May 25, 2007, 16:06:00 KP gets his ton as well. His quickest test century. The man is genius!
Title: Second test Post by: sonic youth on Friday, May 25, 2007, 16:19:40 good old vaughany never doubted him.

Title: Second test Post by: Scot Munroe on Friday, May 25, 2007, 20:13:11 Quote from: "Rich" Vaughan in doing something decent shock  his last 3 first class knocks. 99,73 and 103. No shock about it rich. Title: Second test Post by: Samdy Gray on Friday, May 25, 2007, 20:20:09 Great knock from Vaughan today, shame he got out when he did.
I really hope KP goes on to make 200 and prove what a top-class batsman he really is. If we make 500+ and bowl well then we may only need to bat once. Title: Second test Post by: axs on Friday, May 25, 2007, 20:21:09 bell's back to his irratics again, i predict 30 something for him in the second innings.
Title: Second test Post by: STFC_Manc on Friday, May 25, 2007, 23:27:34 Sunday, Monday and Tuesday look to be washed out. Damn I have tickets for Sunday!
Title: Second test Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Saturday, May 26, 2007, 00:11:16 im still not confident. with our bowlers i just can't see us taking 20 wickets :|

He has the potential to become one of the greatest players of all time. Diff'rent Gravy. Title: Second test Post by: Scot Munroe on Saturday, May 26, 2007, 12:43:51 I think England want to only bat once. 550 plus will do.

Title: Second test Post by: DMR on Saturday, May 26, 2007, 18:13:34 Can't help the feeling Sidebottoms a "horses for courses" selection and would be pretty harmless elsewhere.
That said he's bowled fucking well so good luck to him. Title: Second test Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Saturday, May 26, 2007, 21:23:42 he knows the pitch well though and you can't help but think he is just being used as a stop gap for Hoggard. but would Saj Mahmood have taken 4 wickets? of course he fucking wouldn't!
Title: Second test Post by: cib on Saturday, May 26, 2007, 21:58:09 Sidebottom bowled extremely well today, albeit against some dreadful batting and proved his doubters wrong. But i agree once Hoggy gets back, Sid will be back at Trent Bridge winning the LV Div 2.
Title: Second test Post by: Scot Munroe on Monday, May 28, 2007, 09:54:53 play will start on time today. If the rain does not come it will be all over today.

The pubs were good though.
Title: Second test Post by: larwood on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, 13:17:08 Yeah the pubs were ace :beers: Lucky you being able to frequent them :D Bloody freezing though,i trust it gets warmer up there around oh lets say August time
Title: Second test Post by: Nemo on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, 17:20:16 Apparently you can get 16-1 on the Windies for the third test. 16-1 on a two horse race is mental, Chanderpaul's a big loss but thats a big, big number.
