Title: match fixing in italy this coming weekend? Post by: lebowski on Thursday, May 24, 2007, 16:52:42 well, perhaps...
after collecting my winnings from last night's champion's league game i had a look at ac milan's next fixture - their last of the season - which is away to reggina. reggina are 17th and could very well go down, milan are in the top 4 and have just won the champion's league. the odds on milan to win? 7-1. rarely do you see odds like that on one game! so i had a look at the fixtures... lazio (3rd) are away to sienna (18th) - the odds on a lazio win? 8-1. an accumulater backing the away teams on those two games alone pays at about 70-1. as a matter of interest, coral are still listing these games, but william hill are no longer taking bets on any of this weekend's serie a matches. Title: match fixing in italy this coming weekend? Post by: bigbobjoylove on Thursday, May 24, 2007, 17:03:38 Coral just stopped taking bets on Milan, although Lazio is still open.

Title: match fixing in italy this coming weekend? Post by: yeo on Thursday, May 24, 2007, 17:55:54 Sporting Bet are taking bets on both.
Milan 15/2 --- Draw 5/1 -----Regina 2/9 Sienna 1/5----Draw 21/4----Lazio 8/1 Now I think there are 9 possible outcomes there, 4 of which will make good money 4 that will just about cover costs or be a bit under and 1 that will lose money if you were to bet on all outcomes. Hmmm is it worth it? Title: match fixing in italy this coming weekend? Post by: Ginginho on Thursday, May 24, 2007, 18:03:20 William Hill online are still taking bets, both AC Milan and Lazio are 8/1.

Post by: blinkpip on Thursday, May 24, 2007, 18:31:22 Isn't it a bit odd.
Even if Man United fielded a reserve team, the odds would be no where near like theses. Milan and Lazio reserves teams are more than a match against the bottom half of the table. :? Title: match fixing in italy this coming weekend? Post by: RobertT on Thursday, May 24, 2007, 19:16:21 Dig out the mid 90's Milan vs Foggia game to understand the betting! Both needed a draw (mIlan to win the league, Foggia to stay up). Had 0-0 written all over it until some pesky Milan player put in a pointless 30 yard shot that seemed to catch the keeper knapping. A very low key celebation followed with a few puzzled looks, a kick off and then within a minute or two a Foggia equalizer followed by barely another sniff of even trying to go forward for the rest of the game.
