Title: Does Mourinho expect anyone to believe this...?
Post by: Rich Pullen on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, 17:34:59
...he's gone and said that injuries are so bad at Stamford Bridge that he might be forced to use his 3rd keeper Hilario as a sub striker... That is

1) Rubbish - This is a Premiership football club - a big one at that.
2) An insult to any Chelsea youngster that could have a place on the bench.

Idiot.

He said earlier in the season he wished he had the squad depth of Newcastle when he had a couple of injuries, at the time Newcastle were playing 2 youth players.

Chelsea seem to have no one coming out of the youth team (Sinclair who was on loan at Plymouth aside).  Heres a tip Mr Mourinho when you blow your next 100 million buy a few players instead of three 30 million players.

And the thing about Scott Sinclair is that he was originally on the books of Bristol Rovers before Chelsea nabbed him.

There was a bit of a hoo-har regarding the transfer as Gas Chairman, Geoff Dunford, accused Chelsea of stealing/poaching him and breaking every rule or something.

He's running out of ideas by the looks of it. I don't see how anybody could take that seriously!

Well yes, but if you read the quote I would say it's an extraordinarily funny piss take. The fact that people are getting angry about it on here, shows that it's worked

I think what he was saying is that even though Newcastle had injuries, they still had youth players that could do a job - Edgar, Huntington, Caroll etc whereas Chelsea don;t seem to have any players coming through
