Title: Young Un's & contracts?
Post by: Dazzza on Tuesday, March 15, 2005, 20:39:30
Anyone think anyone bar young Caton will be earning a pro contract shortly?

Think Garrard will be in with a shot but not so sure about the rest.  Chrisy Taylor doesn't seem to get spoken about as much as he once did but apart from that I think the rest will all be on their way.

3rd years in full:

Third Year Scholars: Matty Bulman (goalkeeper), Kyle Lapham (defender), Michael Pook (midfielder), Chris Taylor (midfielder), Ian Oliver (defender), Luke Garrard (defender

Didn't realise but young Caton is officially still only a 1st year scholar.  I think it's likely that he will probably just become a 2nd year pro to avoid having to pay serious(ish) wages on the chap.  Any club comes sniffing and they have to pay compo anyway.

Dare say with the 1st years looking a tad threadbare and Henry on his way Iffy will look to bolster the numbers with a few summer signings.

Second Year Scholars: Leigh Henry (defender/midfielder), Ashan Holgate (striker), Lance Lewis (striker), David Stroud (midfield), Justyn McKay (midfield).

First Year Scholars: Andy Caton (striker), Ben Wells (midfield)

Pook will probably get one but to be honest he doesn't half llok shit.

Holgate's definately got class, as has Henry if he sheds a few (well, alot) of weight.

If you were judging Pook on today, he is a midfield player rather than a centre half.....bit like playing Turbo or Hewlett there....ent going to work.
