Title: Shirts v Walsall
Post by: fatbury on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, 11:58:28
I see there is no chance of shirts being chucked into the crowd should all go well on Saturday thanks to Diamond Mike's auction site getting first dibs on them!

Annoying as I was determined to get Pookys!

HOWEVER .. will they be able to keep them on should there be a pitch invasion?

a boycott would be good .. but there is probably somebody unconnected with the club and not  even a fan who will buy them all up in order to sell them for an even more extortionate price

I'm going to win every auction - I've absolutely no intention of paying...

(With those tactics I should be on the board of STFC!)

It is poor, anything to make money out of poor supporters

They will be collectors items though...as they say 125 anniversary when we are 127 years old.

That would be funny actually if NR won all auctions and didn't pay up....Bowden will turn up at your house with the balifs though  :o

Peanuts in the grand scheme of things.

I have no interest in a scratch and sniff Pook shirt :)  I just love end of season when a kid get a players shirt to take home with them because it makes their day.

It's a shame really.

I bought it in an auction off the official site.

I paid a very, very heavily inflated sum for it.

Wait one darn minute

There's 16 outfield player shirts up there for auction....

Forgive me for being a bit thick, but don't football matches contain 11 players, with a maximum of 3 subs = 14 match worn shirts

I think there's a renaming issue there, 10 matchday shirts, 4/5 substitute shirts, and 1/2 sweated-into-while-sitting-in-the-stands-playing-no-part-in-the-match shirts....

50 quid says that each of those shirts on sale, will never have been worn by the players and definately not be the same shirts as worn during the match on Saturday - I'm going to rip someone's shirt during the pitch invasion to make the point.....

Nazi's

You have 11 on the pitch, and 5 on the bench = 16

Okay so atleast 2 players will not play a part in the game but that is their shirt for that game...and they probably will have worn it  :D
