Right it's rant time.

Jerel Ifil was the only player to turn up today and if it wasn't for him then we could kiss goodbye to our promotion chances. The rest should be ashamed of themselves.
Based on this season apart from Ifil, Peacock, Brezovan and Phil Smith the rest can fuck off for all I care. Never ever have have I seen a more gutless local derby display than today.

Roberts was useless, as was Zaaboub so that was creating chances out of the window. Blair Sturrock someone please tell me what he offers to the team? He's always offside and when he's not he just gives away fouls and misses good chances....managers son fuck off.

As for P00K anyone that thinks he gets unfair critism well meet me over a pint next week and we'll discuss him. He's fucking useless, he takes ages to decide what to do with the ball, usually it ends up in a useless punt up field. All he does is run around like a headless chicken and I'm sorry but thats not good enough.  I lost count in the second half the number of times he just punted the ball off the pitch when trying to pass it

Westwood is utter gash, no pace, no distribution and won't venture over the half way line. Vincent OK left back but captain nooo way! Nicholas is an idiot and getting booked in the first couple of minutes typifies him.

Manager Sturrock, you have a lot of work to do....in all honesty if we blow promotion then you can fuck off as well.

It was a local derby for fuck sake and only one player bothering to put any effort in is rediculous.

Spot on - especially the cunt with the Dons 'score' - there's no doubt whatsoever that this had a lot to do with the lack of push in the last few minutes.

rovers are fighting for a play off place.its not a surprising result really.
maybe our team looked poor because rovers were better?

they weren't great but they got the ball down more than us and moved quickly with it. something haven't really done much of all season. but they didn't really create much and it was a bit of a wonder goal really wasn't it

We didn't put the effort in and kept resorting to aimless punts, that has nothing to do with the opposition its just our gutless players!

Getting booked isn't typical for Nicho - is it 2 or 3 times only this season? A badly timed early tackle and an over zealous ref doesn't make him an idiot either. (IQ of 149 - what's yours?)

Errrrrm to some degree yes but those gutless cunts didn't put up any sort of a fight today, and god help me if any of those cunts (excluding Ifil) come out with a "stand up and be counted" article in the adver during the week.

It's all well and good coming out with these lovely stories in the adver about securing promotion, if you don't do fuck all on the pitch then it's irrelevant. We shouldn't have to rely on other teams doing us a favour against MK Dongs.

Nicho looked poor today but this had a lot to do with Zaboob.....he just does not work back or cover, so many times, especially in the second half, where Zaboob would lose the ball, rovers would break down the left and they'd isolate Nicho, get a two on one and beat him!!

There were problems all over the pitch. Our strikers couldn't hold the ball up so midfield couldn't get up in time to support them ... because Po0k and Peacock were stretched ... because Roberts and Zaaboub were ineffective (just for a change!!) so the ball kept coming back and the wide midfield stood by and watched it happen ... so our defence were exposed ... and couldn't play higher up the pitch ... to close the gap between defence, midfield and strikers ....  to stop all this happening ....

we were awful today, rovers weren't really that much better, but ricky lambert was absolutely awesome. if we had a player like that i am sure we would be up by now, perhaps as champions.

Ifill weas immense and Vincent was OK too - the rest ( P Smith excepted ) were bollox. Roberts and Zaboub were the worst - shit - pure and simple. The substitutions were bizarre as well.  
The refereee wasn't the problem and I didn't think he did too bad but we couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo.
Sturrock is stuck. He's inherited a pile of shit and is trying to get us over the finishing line. I'd stuick with him as manager as long as he does a hell of a lot of wheeeling and dealing.
If we do get promoted then this is by far the shittiest Town side to be promoted.
And as for lack of passion in derbys then any away game at The Scummers under McMahon was a lot worse than this as was the Cup defeat against the Scummers under the bellend that was King.

lebowski- we have an ace lambert style player but he's in midfield at the moment, i don't think our midfield has shown up most game this season

Ifil was good in our play off season, not sure how many games he actually played but he was good.

The following season  when we signed him he was alright.

It was only last season he was dire, and it doesnt take a genius to work out why....Sean O'Hanlon and Jerel Ifil as a centre back pairing didnt have the expirence or leadership skills.

We all know Ifil loses concentration, he all know he is prone to the odd 'lost' moments....but O'Hanlon didnt help him.

Also, the constant blame from King didnt help!

He's been a different player this year, I dont think he's got any better talent wise, I just think he's got some confidence and belief in himself and he's had the right sort of centre half beside him.

Ifil is a great defender and showed that from the start when he was on loan. We just need to make sure we have Williams and/or somebody else suitable alongside him next year

I agree with that, someone with a bit of experience like williams next to him that can keep ifil's mind on the game and it should be happy days

Saturday was a disgrace of a performance, made worse by witnessing half the side pi$$ing it up in the Spot when I got back. Some of us fans literally shed blood for the cause , if only the players would do the same

I think we need to be a bit of credit to Rovers as well (only a bit) they played their tactics correct they closed us down everytime we got the ball stopping up playing and we as good as gave up not trying to work out a way of dealing with it.

Sofi did not play well, when he got the ball they piled men into him but everytime he looked to try and beat them and it didn't work, Roberts....he tried sometimes if he felt like it !!

The problem we have for Sat, if Corr really is out then we need to put someone like Peacock up front who is able to hold the ball rather than Blair or Lucas who both prefer playing off someone.

It may be worthwhile bringing Timlin back into midfield at the expense of P00K if Corr is available.
