as for the roberts incident looked like a great tackle from where i was stood.

I was stood in the Rovers end right in line with Roberts run - it was a good tackle. Actually it was a bloody easy tackle to make as he's overrran the ball and should have shot earlier. He was shit all game and reacted quite badly to the Shithead chants. The Rovers fans got to him and he wanted to show them - not very teamlike is it. He wanted to walk the ball into the net and stick two fingers up to them.
Peacock ,althuogh shit today, just looked up and smiled at them.
The referee wasn't that bad and got most decisions right.

He was shite yesterday, cocky twat. We need to get rid of him, sign Corr to replace him. The club did him a huge favour keeping him on after his Alcoholism and this is how he repays the club, playing shite week in week out.

Rich - I stood in the home end near the Bass Stand. I was one of the idiots that when we sold out the seats wanted to see the game and thought I'd go in the home end. They then put extra tickets on sale - doh!. It wasn't a choice thing I just wanted to see the game.  There were a few of us - all very quiet.
On the positive side it meant I got back to my car immediately and was sat with a can of cider indoors before 6.
Roberts was getting a lot of stick and it certainly got to him. Instead of playing for Swindon he was playing against Rovers and wanted to show them individually what he could do.  Basically, the bloody idiot bought it.

I didn't notice the rest of our fans getting on Zaaboub's back and he was by far shitter than Roberts.

I thought Roberts played ok. Not good, not too shit (compared to the rest of the team) but ok. He was one of our few players that actually looked like he wanted to do something yesterday. It's little wonder he doesn't shoot when most of the fans were having a go at him for shooting too early, earlier on this season. People have criticised Roberts for not trying, but I thought yesterday he workes hard and he even ran back to make tackles.

People just wanted a person to blame for our poor performance and Roberts is the easy target.

Roberts had his faults yesterday, but at least he looked like he wanted something from the game. Unlike most of the other players.

We needed to keep the ball on the floor more and the problem was furthered by the fact we had nobody able to get the ball down and hold it up for any decent length of time. I blame the players who hoofed the ball constantly more than Roberts.

I expect a professional football to be able to score from 6 yards out

Talk about scapegoat. We played shite. We deserved to lose. Collectively the team was gash. There is no need to single out individuals as they were all that bad (with a couple of exceptions).

The whole performance was awful, and Roberts was no way the worst of the bunch, im not saying that

He HAD the best chance to score for us, he got into the box, had the ball at his feet and created a bit of space for the shot but didnt shoot and wasted it

That one goal, would have made all the difference, thats how close it is.....you can put the whole thing down to one shot that didnt happen.

I think you've misinterpreted my posts DV. I agree he should have shot, scored and won us promotion. But this thread turned from your original point into a "let's slag off Roberts for everything he did yesterday". It's not you who's done that though so don't worry about it.

All the players were poor. Ifil stood out and had an amazing game. Bit harsh to blame it just on one player.

Zaboub was by far the worst player on the pitch yestersday. Kept taking on too many players and losing possession. He also provided no cover for Nicho which meant Vincent and ifill having to do his work for him.
Roberts was crap because he got drawn into the Shithead thing when he should have known better.
For once, Peacock was also crap. How early did he jump for his headers. I'm a big fan of Lukas but he was shit as well. Some people say P ook was crap  but he still had oujr best two chances and was bloody unlucky at the end with a great shot.
I was also very concerned about Sturrocks subs - had he been on the bottle.

Indeed. Ifil and Vincent both had good games. Everyone else was below par. End of.

I think the fans who went have got to take some of the blame.

The support this season has been pretty quiet and generally shit. You go up to Rovers and sing loud and I think it probably startled the players.
