First half of that season he was brilliant, tailed off towards the end, which is probably why Kingy dropped him a few times.  He attitude just carried him through it though.

When he scored against us at Wycombe the bloke's enthusiasm was something to begrudgingly respect.

I used tro love watchiong mooney at Watford and at Town, really good player and always respected him.  You can tell he regrets leaving and fair play if he helps us go up, he will be fired up for it!

Shame after all this time he's still playing so well and we let him walk for the sake of an additional year on his contract that he had allegedly been offered earlier that season anyway.

The whole world knows that Mooney made a mistake joining Oxford. I won't forgive for that. But if he wants to score the goals that assist in a Swindon Town promotion then that's fine-by-me.

I'm in complete agreement. I met him a couple of times post his move and he has always maintained it wasn't the most sensible thing to have done and he has his regrets. He's certainly no Joey Beauchamp.
