Title: The Maths Post by: yeo on Saturday, April 21, 2007, 18:02:45 Sooo if we were to lose the next two and score no goals how many would MK need to score to go ahead of us?
or whatever someone explains the maths please? Title: The Maths Post by: Danjackson10 on Saturday, April 21, 2007, 18:04:44 depends how many we lose by?
Title: The Maths Post by: STFCere on Saturday, April 21, 2007, 18:05:24 depends on how many we conceed, u muppet
Title: The Maths Post by: reeves4england on Saturday, April 21, 2007, 18:05:37 If we lost both games by 1 goal, MK would have to win games by 2 and 3 goals to go ahead of us, or 4 and 1!!
Make sense? Basically, even if we lose both games by one goal we should be safe Title: The Maths Post by: STFC4LIFE on Saturday, April 21, 2007, 18:06:03 If we lose both games 2.0
And MK win both games 2.0. They get auto. I think :? Title: The Maths Post by: yeo on Saturday, April 21, 2007, 18:06:27 ball park? say we lose 1-0 twice?
Title: The Maths Post by: Barry Scott on Saturday, April 21, 2007, 18:08:44 We have a goal diff of 7 better than them, so if we lose both by the same margins they win theirs, they would get automatic as the goal difference would be the same and they'd have a better goals for.
We basically have to lose by less than they win. Title: The Maths Post by: yeo on Saturday, April 21, 2007, 18:10:06 Quote from: "Barry Scott" We basically have to lose by less than they win. that what I wanted 8) Title: The Maths Post by: DV on Saturday, April 21, 2007, 18:10:29 the difference is 7
if we lose by the smallest margin 1-0 Then that will take 2 off our goal difference...so we'd be 5 ahead so Franchise would need to add to their goal difference 5 to draw level (which would be enough....more goals scored), so a minimum of 5 goals in two games so... 1-0 & 4-0 2-0 & 3-0 3-0 & 2-0 4-0 & 1-0 Obviously if we lose by more than goes out the window Title: The Maths Post by: Batch on Monday, April 30, 2007, 08:41:03 So here we are in the final week. If we win or draw = party time.
If we lose then Franchise need to overturn a 4 goal difference - they go up on goals scored if they do. Anyway, Batch does a Vorederman to help anyone still struggling (if anyone is): Code:
So there we go. Every goal is important. Title: The Maths Post by: fatbury on Monday, April 30, 2007, 09:05:27 its going to be mental next Saturday (mental arithmetic that is!)

Actually, if we lose they only have to overcome three ... We'd have to lose by at least 1-0 so they'd then only have to make up three if you see what I mean. If we lose 1-0 and they win 3 then they go up on goals scored. Yes I know, 1 goal loss + a 3 goal win for mk = a 4 goal difference overturn as per the table ;) Title: The Maths Post by: Panda Paws on Monday, April 30, 2007, 09:47:55 Quote from: "Batch" Quote from: "Chris K" Quote from: "Batch" If we lose then Franchise need to overturn a 4 goal difference - they go up on goals scored if they do. They only need three, at most, if we lose. Title: The Maths Post by: Batch on Monday, April 30, 2007, 09:50:10 Sorry, didn't mean to snap. I'm on edge!

Its not great timing that its my mrs birthday on saturday and I am required to be the jovial host / head chef for a BBQ we are hosting. Its not going to be pretty if MK go up. :| Title: The Maths Post by: Batch on Monday, April 30, 2007, 10:07:15 I've booked a night pass out with my mates for Saturday.
The Mrs was only too happy to get me out the way given the possibility of us not going up and the mood that that will bring:) Of course I told her there was a risk of further playoff misery anyway..
