Title: Quote of the day Post by: Boeta on Friday, April 20, 2007, 10:40:45 From Arsenal's chairman:

Muppet Title: Quote of the day Post by: mattboyslim on Friday, April 20, 2007, 11:44:14 I read it thoguht it ridiculous, but then thought to a certain extent he has a point, there is a vast difference between the employees and owners of a firm, too much US ownership of football teams in the long run is not healthy. From my albeit limited knowledge of Arsenal it seems to have a proud tradition, and whilst they do have way too many foreigners at the club, they have brought some exceptional talent to the premiership, and Wenger was a trendsetter in terms of the professionalism of players.

So you'd rather Wenger spent millions on mediocre english players than virtually fuck all on the likes of Fabregas, toure etc? As big a club they are, financialy they can no longer compete with Man U, Chelsea and now Liverpool without outside help. If your an Arsenal fan you can now look forward to finishing 4th at best for quite some time.
Title: Quote of the day Post by: lebowski on Friday, April 20, 2007, 16:48:43 not really, because chelsea are still the only football team not being run like a business.
okay, swindon town aren't either. but seriously, arsenal can still pick off the cream of young european talent and develop them, whilst chelsea go for the superstars and... uhhh... un develop them. Title: Quote of the day Post by: Supercake2 on Friday, April 20, 2007, 18:20:55 oh dear school boy error, english football hasnt been 100% english since the dawn of time it seems.
