Well it will be interesting to see what the prices are compared to this season, given we may still not know which league we will be in.

Will hold off until the NDA is signed personally.

After that point there is a descision to be made as to whether I think the club will seriously talk to the consortium or whether I believe it is a stalling tactic. The nature of the NDA means there won't be anything to base it on other than gut feeling and I'm in two minds really

Currently I believe it is being passed between lawyers honing the finer points and clarifications before both parties are happy to sign it.

It's more fun spending the match in the CGH anyway. When you go to the gents you can even hear the crowd. It's almost like the real thing, but actually better because there's beer involved too.

The thing is for me and the missus a ST will work out so much cheaper.

Based on this season's prices:

Season tickets -> £339 x 2 = £678

Pay on the day -> (£20 x 23) x 2 = £920

I'd save nearly £250 buying a season ticket.

I'm moving to Bristol in September - So, I'll be going home and away next season if I can get a job without having to work on Saturdays - I was going to get a season ticket - but I won't until the takeover is complete.

As I said a few days ago elsewhere - I would be very surprised (and disappointed) if they don't hold the prices at the same as this season.

Firstly, I haven't said whether or not I'm going to renew yet. I'm still in two minds.

Secondly, if I get elected on then the Trust members back a boycott then I will follow that. IIRC if the Trust back a boycott they will ensure early bird prices will still apply after the cut-off date, as long as the consortium takes over during the summer.

If the takeover doesn't get ahead then I'll just have to buy a full price ST, which is still cheaper than pay on the day.

A season ticket in the Nationwide ain't cheap when you have a mortgage and bills to pay.

I know a season ticket works out cheaper than pay on the day all season but ive never had the money in a lump sum which is why ive never had a season ticket.

I may hit the overtime in the summer and save up for one for next season though.

How long do they keep the seats for existing ST holders before they sell them to someone else? Don't like the idea of turning up to renew once the consortium are in, only to discover someone else has taken the seat.

I hear prices are announced tomorrow and are the same as this season.

 Don't worry about it....when we're sharing with Rovers next season, lots of seats will be taken and later rearranged.   They're  welcome to mine in the TE, gets in the way of standing.

As for Council Tax, i've already applied for the 25% discount because i live alone but i'm positive they've got the banding wrong.

It's a new build but they have to estimate what it's value would have been in 1991.

It's value now is £161,000.

Not trusting this lot with the money. It will go into the same black hole that over £2,000,000 has already disapeared into. I will wait until the consortium come into power, because then I know the money will go into STFC. (It will also hasten that day).
I seriously can't see that the present lot will put any more than they have too into the club playing budget.
I would hope that the Consortium would make Season Tickets available at early bird prices once they get in.

No ST for me moving to Birmingham in September so will most likely miss midweek games at best.  It really is a moral dilema, OK if you cna afford to gamble on not buying one, but obviously a lot of guys are on tight budgets and £100+ a year is quite a issue.

No change in prices .. not often I say this but WELL DONE TO THE BOARD! - although they were probably too high last year .. but I actually think they are good value overall

Ralphy 5 years ago I moved into a new house and thought they had the banding wrong... I wrote to the council explaining this (backed up with average prices of similar houses in 91 in same or close area) and they moved it straight down....

Definately worth a try.....

I'm going to renew mine. I support the consortium , but i'm not willin to potentiall cost myself money at a time when I really really need it for other things.

I really dont want to A. lose my seat (standing space  :wink: )  or B. pay an extra £45 for it at the "regular" rate.

We 'll have a better idea how the takeover is going by then. If the Board are playing silly beggars then the TRUST/Consortium will maybe come up with something so that we get early bird prices, but still withold the money from this corrupt board.
If all is going swimmingly then you'll be able to get your seat knowing you've had use of the money for an extra month.

In the meantime, once the Walsall game is played season tickets are one of the few things we can use to apply pressure to the board

this is an issue that has to be dealt with quickly by the trust. a holding account should be set up for those fans who will be making a stand, and when the consortium takes over the early bird scheme should be re introduced.

I very much doubt it - the idea would be open to all I suspect, and even so it'd be worth a quid to join the trust to reap the benefits.

Anyone with any sense would not purchase season tickets while this board remain in charge, my bet is they will not sign the NDA and they now suddenly think that everything is ok because we have got promoted.....how wrong they are.....i for one have not forgotten......we need the trust to setup some kind of boycott and setup an account for the season ticket money to go into.....

 :roll: I think we get the general idea with your posts, you do get slightly repetitive though mate and thats being polite. With quite a few people it is a fine balance between their financial situation and moral stance, some people may be forced to renew their season tickets now as they simply aren't in a position where they can afford the risk of having to pay more............that said I'm waiting and not renewing but that doens't make me wiser or better than anyone who does renew.

Regarding Season Tickets

Obviously after the amazing promotion on Saturday and the general good play this season - Im very keen to buy one straight away - League 1 is a an altogether more attractive prospect now.

BUT - I find it hard to commit myself to one when I dont know if the CVA is going to be paid - and if we end up having to start the season with minus 10 points its going to be a very hard and most likely impossible slog.

Therefore I wish the current board to state CATERGORICALLY that the CVA WILL BE PAID .. otherwise they should leave as we CANNOT be expected to pay out for something under false pretences

Can someone please clarify when the payment needs to be made by?

I would suggest that all at least wait until the last week in May before deciding on a season ticket purchase. The early Bird discount will still apply so their is no loss.
I personally am not buying until this lot are out, but that's my decision.

If there's no action on the boycott or takeover front by then, then I'm afraid I'll be renewing because the financial implications for me are just too great.

Exactly Sam, I'm not getting a season as I won't be able to make that many matches and I'll have a student card by the start of the season, but whilst I fully understand the notion of a formal boycott - until one is announced it really needs to come down to the individual and the affordability of it, and people are creatures of habit not wanting to lose their seat.  I for one don't feel that by boycotting matches altogether I would be achieving much (why should I be deprived of the enjoyment of watching games), however by leaving ST purchases until the last posible minute it sends a message out.  The way things have gone it seems like if the takeover happens it will be months rather than weeks - and any ST boycott could be more likely to drag on until the season after next.

Yes you can, but it's a credit agreement and involves credit searches etc.

The board also get all the money up front. The finance company are effectively lending you the season ticket money, which you pay back as with any other personal loan agreement

And the interest is circa 15% as well.

IIRC its 19.9% APR - I can get better than that on my credit card.

Likewise. I sincerely hope that if it does get to the situation where negotiations aren't significantly further along by the end of the month, then the Trust will act swiftly in preparing a simple and straightforward way for us to put aside our season ticket money and signify our intent.

I think the we will need a lead from the TRUST at least a week before hand.  The AGM on the 15th would appear to be ideally timed for such discussions.
Of course we could at any time be told that the NDA has been signed, but that could've happened at anytime in the last few weeks/months

There are alot of town fans that don't actually have a clue whats going on behind closed doors, that a trust exists, have the internet/registered to a forum or know why they should consider holding out on buying season tickets as they are only interested in the football. I was one of these fans til recently and without a little education from friends and the TEF ;) I would've gone ahead and renewed my season ticket without a second thought. I've been told there are around 3 to 3 and a half thousand season ticket holders with the club all with mind at renewing before 31st May i'm guessing. So is anything being done to contact these ticket holders from the trust/consortium side to anyones knowledge? I'm very in the dark when it comes to these matters.

They are pushing renewals again today on the official site, is that a sign things have not gone too well for the board?

Sorry to keep banging on about it, but I can see this lot puitting the season ticket money where they have already put the £3,000,000 plus of extra income that they have received in the last 14 months.

I implore everybody to hold off buying anything from STFC until at least the last week in May.  (I will wait til the board ship out, because I want MY season ticket money to go into the club.. preferably the playing budget!)
