Title: Clean Sheet/Defensive Record
Post by: STFC4LIFE on Saturday, April 14, 2007, 16:59:31
What was that defensive record we were trying to break?
Does it look like were going to do it?
I cant rememberhow many goals it was.

since adi williams has been out we have stopped conceding goals from set pieces. not knocking him like i think he is a good player but it makes you wonder maybe he was carrying that injury for a while

Or the rest of them have learned how to defend properly!

other way round i thought. our set piece defending seemed to wobble when williams first got injured, but now (touch wood), the defence is starting to look strong again

Vincent has been immense as a make shift centre half.

No fuss, no nonsense, nothing fancy. Barely gets noticed just does the job.

Ok, I agree with most of that.  Question, will Williams be here as a centre-back next season?  I can see him as reserve team coach whilst David Byrne takes the youths full time.  Any other thoughts?
