Title: Lukas Jukiewicz Professionalism
Post by: blinkpip on Sunday, April 8, 2007, 15:41:15
This lad, gets booted and knock about a lot during games. But I have never seen a player like him, he never complains or appeals.  I can't ever remember seeing him complaining to a ref once.

If only, if all players played with such professionalism.

he should have complained when he got fucking stamped on. How did the linesman and ref both miss it!!

He'll soon learn - Everton will have him enrolled in acting school as with all their players.... :-))(

He's a young lad and a bit shy, like me. Lay off  :D

I think that's a fair point. As he gets older and a bit more experienced I think he's bound to be more willing to question the referee etc. I dont think there's anything wrong with that, it is diving and accusing refs and linesmen of wrong decisions when you know they are right that annoys me!

After hearing Lukas interview on the Radio this evening. It looks like he may come back on loan for a season.
(hope So)

I think we've got first option on him if he goes out on loan, so I expect we may very well see him again.

We shouldn't have sold him anyway. He could have stayed for another two seasons (and probably bagged us 40 odd goals in that time). And would have been worth even more.

However, I don't play FM 2007 (or whatever it is called), so what the fuck do I know anyway?

I heard that....not sure he' s been on before.   he came over very well.....not thinking of Everton as STFC is his club and he'd like to come back  8)

 Good luck young man.

That's the first time I've heard him on the radio....seem to remember Sturrock dismissing the chance of talking to him earlier in the season.  Came across very well, and I agree with Blinkpip's original point that he conducts himself well during games.  Would love to see him back on loan.

I would have loved to have seen him not sold off less than a year into a 3 year pro contract  :x

[uber sarcasm] Indeed. Everyone sticks to contracts in football, why cant STFC?

And we'd clearly have won the league with the white northern pele on the left wing instead of the vastly inferior Zaaboub. [/uber sarcasm]

Please VD for the sake of my sanity, let it go.

I don't think we will likely see Lucas back here next season, as I expect Everton will want him training with them for a while, I expect they may think of sending him out on Loan in Jan rather than straight away though.

Although saying that at 18 he still has a lot to learn a 1st team football will certainly help.

There was a bit about Jutkiewicz in the programme, saying something along the lines of if Everton send him out on loan next season (which is likely) then he would love to come back and play for us.

Would be great to get him back here next season.

I'd take him back in a second.

If we go up, and if we are to succeed in the division above, it'll be through continuity to a large extent - keeping this bunch, or the backbone together - and adding no more than 4 players perhaps in the close season.
