Point is that we've never had any squad depth and have been quick to jettison the players who don't make the first team squad. But then 3 months later we're scratching around for a loanee to cover a position where someone has been injured and we have no cover... Just because someone is not playing in the first team at the moment, doesn't mean that they are not a useful part of the squad. Just imagine the current squad without the loanees given the current suspensions! We'd be struggling for a defensive line of any sorts....
