Title: Claude Gnapka
Post by: yeo on Thursday, March 29, 2007, 18:12:43
I just read Sturrocks update

Did anyone see him play at the reserve game t'other day?

He sounds like the stuff legends are made of 8)

It was certainly a competitive debut from Claude he even managed to injure one of our own players! I had a word with him before the game to calm things down a bit,so if thats a "mellow" performance then I wouldnt want to see him going full tilt

Claude Gnapka took a knock to his ankle against Weymouth in the reserve game and we will monitor him. It was certainly a competitive debut from Claude - he even managed to injure one of our own players! I had a word with him before the game to calm things down a bit, so if that was a 'mellow' performance then I wouldn't want to see him going full tilt. There are a few grumpy players at the training ground who have been on the receiving end of a few challenges from Claude and he has made his presence felt.

Excellent. He's my favourite player.

On the subject of Hewlett, despite his 'powder puff' approach to matches, he was by all accounts a bit mental in training and used to fly in with tackles.

Big Claude sounds ace!

David Byrne on Gnapka

"Claude Gnapke needed a game so he played and did what he does - I think he eats raw meat before he goes out for games. "He is strong, powerful and didn't give a yard away."

Isn't he a full back tho? Would be ace to see him in front of the back four.  :)

Could have done with last week for that extra passion.

apparently the only reason he doesn't play is because he doesn't speak a word of english. I can't wait to see him play in the first team

Worth a contract,....convert him into a striker.  Sounds like he is a Jimmy Quinn type of demolition player.

I am still being detained at Her Majesty's pleasure.  It's a roof over my head and square meals.  Big Louise still visits me, and she claims she has been faithful, despite having twins in February.
