i have a lot of time for dalrymple but he's in no touch whatsoever with bat and ball.

they are both similar players in that their strengths are hitting the gaps but can dominate when necessary, bowling steady areas and good fielding, so you take with one in form with the most confidence

Bopara' s bowling has the edge for me with his subtle variety. Dalrymple is too flat and predictable.

Dalrymple for me. The type of wickets in the carribean you need 2 spinners so you have Monty and Dalrymple.

Bopara. just what is the point of Dalrymple? for a start we dont need 2 spinners and we could do with a batsman that actually scores runs...

kp's bowling is absolute shite though. can you give me an occasion when he has bowled an impressive spell of 5+ overs since he moved to england in 2000?

well he is better than a lot of spinners we have at the moment (bar Monty of course) he is 10 times better than Dal fucking rymple! he has taken a few wickets though and i reckon if he bowled more he would be a decent all rounder.

Pietersen is a genius but he's also the most irresponsible batsman and selfish player in the side, if he ever gets anywhere near the captaincy we just as well pack up and go home.

i'm just wondering what has impressed people so much of kp's bowling; is it his inability to turn it an iota or the consistency with which he bowls long-hops?

he averages 50 with the ball after about 450 first-class overs; the stats tell the story

pietersen is maturing as a person and does have some leadership qualities but he is still far too engrossed in his own game to start to worry about what others are doing. i don't buy the irresponsible batsmen bit either

Dalrymple was badly under used during the CB Series. He was our best bowler last year against Sri lanka when we got tonked 5-0. He bowled well in the champs trophy with Yardy as the 2nd spinner.

I'd do with Dalrymple....as I'm sure someones already said the wickets in the carribean are excellent for spinning so playing him and Monty in tandem is my choice...

vaughan bowled a bit last time out and i expect he'll do so again.

i'd still rather see big KP clamp his gigantic fingers round the ball and give it a rip though.

i think KP is a better bowler than Vaughan but it was a good ball to get rid of that Irish batsman the other day

remember vaughan's 10 over spell in the champions trophy semi final in 2004 that completely changed the game? the ball he bowled tendulkar with in 2002? there's a bit there and lets be honest seeing as how he's batting he needs to start contributing elsewhere!
