Title: iTunes
Post by: Ralphy on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, 11:48:53
Does anyone on here use iTunes much?

Been addicted to it since i bought my 4gb Nano 2 weeks ago!

Why can't you buy full combination albums??? They're always only about 12 songs

My musical tastes are probally alot different to most of yours because i like House, Trance and some Drum and Bass.

Has anyone bought the Ministry's new Electro House Sessions CD?

I love my dance music too. I download via limewire and transfer it in too my i-tunes. I get the track listings from the HMV website and just downloads individual tracks. You can have complete albums that way. If you want mixed sets then you can also download DJ sets from things like global gathering on there too so keeps me happy  :soapy tit wank:

I mean you can't buy the full albums such as Electro House Sessions, Ministry Annual 2007 etc...

You only get about 15 songs, not the full 40 or whatever.

By doing this i only download the tunes i want. On these dance albums half on them i generally dont like. Plus limewire is free so its the cheapest way and i get just the songs i want to listen to. And dont need to wait for them to be released cos the tunes are on limewire long before release dates.

any company that asks for my credit card details BEFORE i decide to buy anything can get stuffed as far as I'm concerned.   And then if you buy one of their tracks you can only play it on iTunes when mp3 is a perfectly decent format that avoids yet another Betamax/VHS argument.   Apple are getting to the point where they are no better than microsoft on that score.

my friend Sergei will do the same as your friend Ivan, although he quite likes having a big shelf full of CDs so in most cases buys what he likes after a few listens anyway (honest).

No tah, I use iTunes, although I find it very difficult to get on with in terms of organising the tunes, constantly finding copies of things that i just moved in daft places etc.

I use itunes but I wouldn't buy anything from the itunes store. It's overpriced, and there's far too many restrictions on what you can do with the music that you have bought. The fact that you can only use it on ipods for a start!

Also, change the settings so you rip to mp3s as well. I ripped most of my CD collection before I did this. I now have a choice between re-ripping 3000 tracks as mp3s, or being forced to use only ipods and itunes for the rest of my life!

yes but there are quicker ways to do this than downloading each track individually. torrents of whole albums, for example, are much more convenient.
