I've just spoken to Hereford about arrangements for the match.

They were very helpful. They said that there will be a very heavy police presence, particularly as it is a Bank Holiday weekend. When we get into Hereford we have to stop when we see a copper, tell them who we are and what we are doing. He will then arrange parking with the away coaches (all of the away coaches and minibuses are parked together right next to the ground). If they think it necessary they will sort out an escort in.

The buses will be guarded by the coppers during the game.

After the match they will escort us all back to the coaches/minibuses and we will have a police escort out of Hereford.

Well this weekend we had a 56 reg white 17 seater Transit from them. Tinted windows and no signwriting.

I dunno what it had under the bonnet but it went like a fookin' rocket.  The first time I put my foot down in it (no passengers), all of the hairs came up on the back of my neck. 80mph all the way to Lincoln and back (er, indicated, officer...).

We'll be able to outrun the bricks if we have another one of them  8)

The owner was telling me that they have got another four on order.

Right, I've booked up two pubs on the road between Ross-on-Wye and Hereford.

Both landlords are happy with 34 Town fans turning up.

The first pub is opening at 11am specially for us (cool!) and is putting on a limited menu of egg & chips, lasagne etc.

The second landlord was putting in his beer order this morning so was pleased to get the phone call. I told him we would be there for about 12:30-1:00pm. They also do food.

Both pubs have a garden and it should be a nice warm sunny day.

If anybody not on the buses wants to meet us at the second one then PM me for the name and location.

I've just had a call from the landlord of the second pub.

His chef has suggested that they can prepare enough sandwiches and chips etc for as many as we want (so they can prep a bit in advance). He's talking about £4.50 a head which sounds a wee bit steep to me.

I think the first pub may be cheaper and I will certain be hungry by then, but it's up to everybody as to what they want to do.

I said I would get back to him today if anybody was interested, otherwise just to assume that we would order off the menu if required.

We've bought Strongbow, Dry Blackthorn, Grolsch, Carling, Murphy's Smirnoff Ice and Breezers for the trip.
