I didn't wake up until about 4 today and so my sleep patterns are a bit fucked. I think the massive sleep in may have been related to sunday's drinking session. Woke up pretty pissed. Think it was more down to the extra wine drinking when I got home that our afternoon effort though. Might be up of a session tomorrow, although I think I could really do with a day off. Slavery has existed throughout the ages and all races are guilty of it(arabs and blacks were hugely involved in the sale of people to merchants for example and white people in workhouses were slaves too). The biggest differences as far as the black slave trade goes is the displacement to other continents, and the sheer scale of it. It is good to commemorate the end of slavery - the same way you commemorate the end of war - but aside from denouncing slavery as wrong it seems something of a hollow apology to say sorry for something that ancesters did so long ago.
