Waited til 39 and 3 kids meself. Top tip is a bag of frozen peas and lots of lying down for the first 24-48 hours. Also, make sure you have a massive dump beforehand as its amazing how heavy your balls feel if you sit on the crapper afterwards !  Gravitiy is not your friend !:shock:

Interestingly I heard a story the other day that would lean me towards saying "don't do it".

A guy I used to work with split up with his missus a few years ago. They had three kids and then he had a vasectomy. For the last year and a bit he's been going out with a girl half his age who just before christmas decided she wants kids. They spent £2k on a reversal that didn't work and she left him. So now he's broke, single and his balls still don't work.

The moral of the story is: don't do it!

Do it Arriba, I was 33 when I had it done and havent looked back since...it aches a bit for about a week but thats all, its not real pain, the injection is the worst bit as they have to inject right into the scrotum and thats a bit wierd.

And Fred is right....get several pairs of pants that are way too tight normally!

I've always been very uncomfortable (sorry) with the thought of having my little bullets taken away - a sort of "loss of manhood" thing.

My good lady stayed on the pill until a few years ago (mid forties). She was on a low dose version and didn't have any side effects. Women's fertility starts declining rapidly after their late thirties anyway.

We don't bother using anything any more  :D
