But Liam Kerrigan's prank has landed him a life ban and Swindon Town Football Club could now end up being fined up to £50,000 by the Football League.


The 16-year-old St Joseph's School pupil and self-confessed thrillseeker left his clothes with friends in the Nationwide Stand and, save for a pair of lucky emerald green pants, ran the length of the pitch during Town's 2-0 victory over Grimsby on Wednesday night.


His friends have also received life bans, subject to appeal.


Irishman Liam, who plays the piano and sings with the Kentwood Choir, decided he would run across the pitch after watching a match on television with his friends. And the bold teenager says he is one-tenth of the way to completing a list of things he wants to do before he dies.


He said: "I am a thrillseeker, but get really worried about stuff and just have to do it. I came running down the steps of the stand and everyone was cheering ­ it was amazing.


"I was called a legend at school because everyone thought it was hilarious." Tommy Mooney's brace ensured the Robins bagged all three points and remain in contention for promotion, but Liam's stunt ensured it was a hat-trick of moonies on one night after he cheekily gestured to the away fans.

The mistake this season has been to overhaul the squad while trying to get promotion.  It should have been one or the other.

Apart from Walsall Away & Carlise Home (Sturrocks first game) we have rarely played well under Sturrock, i can see us going out in the play offs to be honest.

The actual answer is last week, but you are hinting at a valid point. Grimsby have shipped 60 goals so far this season. Okay they've been on a good run but teams pushing for promotion shuold be able to work a way around that.

As much as I hate to cave in, I have to agree that Sturrock now NEEDS to bring in some kind of attacking threat either in midfield or up front to create/score goals. Otherwise it will be the play-offs and what happens there is anybody's guess

We didn't play much better under Wise though. This has been a season-long issue.

I don't recall us playing well under Wise either, just a lot of lucky results and narrow wins. When we came away with 3 points it was easy to forget how crap the performance was

Yes Williams is a big lose, but we dont have the cover for him....and why because Sturrock got rid of two central defenders in January and signed....NONE!

Under Wise we kept it simple, the player knew what they were doing. They had confidence and belief in themselves. Under Sturrock the players dont even look like they know what they are supposed to be doing.

I get a feeling that even if CCP and henry had stayed, then we wld still be seeing the vincent in the middle, just because he has experience, to talk ifil through the game. I do agree with you on the last point though.

It was foolish to try and restructure the squad halfway through the season when we've got barely any money and nobody wants most of our deadwood.

That is what has cost us and Sturrock ought to take the brunt of the blame for it.

With Wise we alwaysed played 4-4-2 and that was the set formation which i think is the best way to play. But with Sturrock he wants to mess things around either we are 4-3-3, 4-5-1, 3-4-3.

Don't forget Sturrocks inspiring tactical changes and substitutions he always makes in the 2nd half

with around 10 mins to go he make changes.

not to mention the squad he took over was sitting high up in second a few points behind leaders Walsall. Whilst playing with loads of confidence!

The guy desperately wants to sign for us, but no approach has even been made yet about negotiations etc, and today he flew back home to visit his family for 10 days, time is getting tight

I can't help but think  Brez is getting shafted and badly treated by both the club and also Sturrock. The guy is a class act yet the way they are messing him about is completely unacceptable. He should know his future so that he can start planning his future.

Assuming Sturrock rates him...........judging by Sturrock to date and his dispensing of players I'm not exactly feeling confortable

if we do buy him, which I doubt they'll sell him right away.

Brezovans deal should have been tied up months back. I have a sneaky feeling that both he and weston will be off to leeds in the summer.
